TRC Teams Join Jack Trottier Foundation for Inspiring Film Premiere

Last week, members of the TRC team attended a special event hosted by the Jack Trottier Foundation, marking a milestone in their Education Program. The foundation premiered a moving installment of their Storytellers film series, featuring the story of Jake Thibeault, a courageous now 21-year-old who sustained a spinal cord injury in a hockey collision at age 18 and rehabbed at Spaulding.

The Storytellers series aims to raise awareness about spinal cord injuries, focusing on risk prevention and education. Jake’s story offers an intimate look at the profound challenges and triumphs experienced by those navigating life with paralysis. Through compelling interviews, the film showcases resilience, highlights innovative therapies, and sheds light on the emotional and psychological impacts of spinal cord injuries.

The trailer to Jake’s Story can be found here.

More than a narrative, Storytellers provides viewers with tools to assess risks, prepare for challenges, and find gratitude in life’s journey. TRC is proud to support initiatives that amplify these powerful voices and inspire transformative change.
